Nothing but Chambray

What’s up y’all.

 Been a long time coming but I’m here now. That phrase reminds me of a song lyric. lol

For this post I’ll be talking about the fashion hit “chambray”. A fashion blogsite says, chambray is not necessarily a lightweight blue denim shirt. Of course, that is what comes to mind when we think chambray, but its actual definition is a lightweight fabric (usually cotton) that uses a colored warp (down) weaved with a white filling yarn (across). The colored warp is usually blue (which is partly why we think denim), but it doesn't have to be. And although it is usually plain, it can also be in stripes or checks or other patterns. The end result is something is generally something that seems to be like denim, but you may actually come across some items that are chambray, but don't look or feel like the typical denim-like chambray at all.

This fashion fad is again making its own name to the fashion scene nowadays, since it was already a big hit during the latter years. People tend to relate chambray shirts to denim well in all honesty they are the same, the only difference between the two is that chambray cloth is way softer and lighter than denims.

A very good example of chambray is the button down I am wearing on this post. I caught this one from a thrift shop (ukay) a year ago and loving it till now. I am starting to notice that my chambray button downs in my closet are growing in number (are they having sex inside my closet? Why is that?). But kidding as I, chambrays are really comfortable and stylish at the same time.

I can honestly say that chambrays are my life savers and I preferably like this outfits than jackets and blazers.  Say for this particular look, I thought that it would've been so boring if I only wore that t-shirt and the fitted pants that day good thing I realize why not put on a chambray it may complete the whole style. Then with a blink of an eye POOF (like a firework) I am so right, chambray is my life saver it did complete my look. And yeah I accessorized a bit like the choker necklace I am wearing.

Having several pairs of chambray is a very smart closet investment.

Just a tip, earth toned accessories will be perfect for your “chambray” look.

Diamonds on my Shirt

“Diamonds on my Shirt”

Waasssaaapp  y’all, I stayed lethargic for a while now.  My list had never gotten that demanding though I just got too lazy making new posts.  That sounds so mean right.

For the previous weeks I found it hard to have  my outfit shots, main problems that always occur are (first) I don’t have someone who can perfectly take my “for blogging” photos, (second) the weight of my baby (dslr) is something . Stroppy excuses haha damn me.

So this post is all about the photos that were taken during the shooting of a video project , I snatched the chance to have a tiny shoot as I certainly feel guilty for not posting anything on this page for like a month now.

I entitled this post “Diamonds on my Shirt” due to its metallic whatsits.  Feels like I’m wearing diamonds, expensive it is to think but I got it from “UKAY” (never under estimate UKAY huh) suddenly the song of

Rihanna “Diamonds”  played out of nowhere haha kidding it was actually on my playlist.

The sweaters cloth is really soft and ahh I’m speechless now lol. I paired it with my never dying khaki brown trouser. I don’t know what’s with this trouser that I can’t help myself from wearing.

Bones – brand of my sunnies, very snug I tell you.

The entire look cost me more or less a hundred (php), surprisingly cheap yeah!
